I contemplate each year the contrast between the stark, bleached, bare bones of winter trees; the baby-green emergence of tiny leaves and flowers in early springtime; followed by jewel-toned, full-flouncy drapery of mid-summer; and then the guady, last hurrah of fall. But you have taken my observation to a new level. I have always felt the mountains as my protectors. And the trees are yours. A quiet and lovely piece.
