Debbie's comment has got me thinking. How important photography is to both our love of our planet and to our efforts to save it. I am thinking of the BBC series, now out on DVD, called 'Planet Earth.' This incredible series takes nature photography to a level I have never experienced. Thanks to advances in technology, this series shows us bird of paradise courtship rituals, hungry lions killing an elephant at night, and much, much more that I, for one, had never been able to witness before.

How can a human artist be anything but awed and shamed by these beautiful works of nature that would have melted into obscurity if not for these wonderful photos. More Please!
